Telenor Connexion today announces an organizational change in APAC

As part of an expansion phase for further growth in Asia-Pacific (APAC), Telenor Connexion will split the APAC business into three regions, China, Japan & South Korea and rest of APAC. Kelvin Pan has been appointed as the General Manager for China and Richárd Gyimesi as Head of Region Japan & Korea at Telenor Connexion. In their new roles they will be responsible for the continued development of the organization and business in their respective regions, reporting to Seth Ryding, CSO for the APAC region. 

As Telenor Connexion’s business is growing in the APAC region the organization will be expanded in order to maintain the growth direction and increase its drive and management presence in the focus areas for the region.

Kelvin Pan, General Manager for China, has been a part of the agency Auease working with Telenor Connexion for the past 6 years and has been instrumental in starting up the business for Telenor Connexion in China. Pan has depth of experience in working at global companies, including IBM and Huawei for over 10 years where he had been dedicated to partner and business development within ICT and Telecom. Pan worked in the position of senior Partner Manager and Head of Procurement for Nordic Region where he successfully led various global projects and established the local partner network and break-through into the Nordic market.

Richárd Gyimesi, Head of Region Japan & Korea, has an extensive background from several business units within Telenor where he has worked with sales and business development in countries such as Hungary, Montenegro and Thailand. In his previous role as Regional Sales Manager for the APAC region, Gyimesi initiated Telenor Connexion’s business in South Korea and has also been involved in the general IoT development within the Telenor Group’s business units within Asia.

Seth Ryding, CSO APAC at Telenor Connexion says, “We have now reached the next stage in our expansion and our continued journey in APAC where Kelvin Pan and Richárd Gyimesi will play important roles to continue to ramp-up Telenor Connexion’s business in China, Japan and Korea”.

Kelvin Pan and Richárd Gyimesi will start in their new positions immediately.

Previously in 2019, the CSO function of Telenor Connexion was expanded and split into two new roles with Seth Ryding as CSO of the APAC region and Paulo Vergos as CSO of EMEA & Americas region, to support a further increased focus in APAC.
