Telenor Connexion today announces Paulo Vergos as the new Chief Sales Officer of region EMEA & Americas

Telenor Connexion has today, October 8, announced that Paulo Vergos has been appointed as the new Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of region EMEA & Americas. In his new role, Vergos will be responsible for setting the sales strategy, aligning the sales structure and generating profitable growth in the region. He will also be a part of the Telenor Connexion management team reporting to CEO Mats Lundquist.

During his 24 years working in the IT and telecom industry, Vergos has held several sales related roles. Most recently he has been employed as Sales Director of Telenor Sweden where he has been instrumental in helping the company to grow. He has also held several management positions at Telenor Sweden, including heading Enterprise Sales, Marketing and Operations units.

“I’m passionate about sales and business development so I’m really looking forward to use my experience to contribute to Telenor Connexion,” Vergos says. “I’m sure that it will be an exciting journey to take sales in EMEA & Americas to the next level and it feels great to be a part of a successful company with big ambitions.”

Speaking of the appointment, Mats Lundquist, CEO of Telenor Connexion, says: “Now it is time to take the next step in our company's journey and to focus on further development of our sales organization to more efficiently support EMEA & Americas in meeting customers’ needs.

“With the expansive phase Telenor Connexion is in, I’m confident that Paulo has the right profile and experience to bring great value to our company and customers. His experience growing business in new areas will be instrumental in driving business over the coming months and years.”

Due to organizational growth, and as previously communicated, the CSO function of Telenor Connexion was recently expanded and split into two new roles. On August 20, Seth Ryding was announced as CSO of the APAC region.

Vergos takes on his new role as CSO for EMEA & Americas on January 1, 2020, and will be based in the Telenor Connexion Karlskrona office.
