TELIT AND TELENOR CONNEXION AGREE PARTNERSHIP

Telit Wireless Solutions, a global leader in machine-to-machine (M2M) communications and a subsidiary of Telit Communications PLC (AIM: TCM) and Telenor Connexion, a leading global connectivity provider, have concluded an agreement covering conjoint marketing activities. Both companies are innovation leaders in their market sectors. They will be combining their efforts to simplify the connectivity of cellular M2M solutions. In the future, customers will profit from an integrated M2M solution.

Integrated M2M solution as the goal

Under the terms of the partnership, the GE863-SIM module from Telit will be available with Telenor Connexion's patented eSIM, an integrated chip SIM-card. The GE863-SIM is a module tailored to specific customer needs that is produced on demand. A remarkable characteristic of the module is that the eSIM reduces the space needed up to 90 per cent compared with the traditional SIM-card and holder, thereby making a considerable contribution to the system's robustness.

Customers also benefit from improved SIM reliability, significant cost savings and a markedly increased level of efficiency in the development and production of their M2M solutions.

The long-term goal of the partnership between Telit and Telenor Connexion is the development of a completely integrated solution with wireless M2M hardware and on-board connectivity.
