Press release -

Telenor Group recognised in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide and in the 2024 Critical Capabilities for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide

Telenor Group has been recognised as a Visionary amongst sixteen managed IoT service providers in the 2024 Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide report by Gartner.

This is the seventh time in a row Telenor Group has been listed in the research. Like previous years, Telenor is the only Nordic operator recognized in the report.

Commenting on the report, Mats Lundquist, CEO of Telenor Connexion, says: “We are proud to be recognized for the seventh year in a row by Gartner in the 2024 Magic Quadrant for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, worldwide. We believe this proves that we have been successful in our commitment to deliver excellent quality and service to our customers across the globe.”

Gartner describes companies in the Visionaries quadrant as: “Visionaries have a clear view of the market’s requirements and direction. They focus on providing a broader continuum of value to meet future market needs and effectively upsell and cross-sell within their installed base through trust and the extension of recognizable, iterative value. Visionaries expand their capabilities through acquisitions, internal development and, increasingly, robust partnering.”

Telenor is also recognized in another report by Gartner, published a week later, called “Critical Capabilities for Managed IoT Connectivity Services, Worldwide.” According to Gartner, “As an essential companion to the Gartner Magic Quadrant, this methodology provides deeper insight into providers’ product and service offerings by extending the Magic Quadrant analysis. Use this research to further investigate product and service ratings based on key capabilities set to important, differentiating use cases.”

Telenor Group was ranked in the top three for the following use cases: Managed Complex and Diverse IoT Connectivity, Managed Connected Consumer Products and Services, and Managed Connected Commercial Products and Services.
