Telenor Connexion CEO joins high level business delegation to Japan

Mats Lundquist, CEO of Telenor Connexion, will visit Tokyo for the Japan-Sweden Business Summit on April 23, along with high-level representatives at leading Swedish enterprises, and Sweden’s Head of State H.M. Carl XVI Gustaf and H.M. Silvia. The summit is focusing on the future of transport and Mats Lundquist is invited to speak about innovation enabled by connectivity.

This year, Japan and Sweden celebrate 150 years of diplomatic relations. One of the top events is the High Level Business Delegation including the Japan-Sweden Business Summit, taking place at Ana Intercontinental Hotel in Tokyo on April 23. The summit is gathering policy makers, industry associations, automotive manufacturers and media.

As part of this summit, Business Sweden is arranging “The Future of Transport” seminar, discussing how Swedish advanced technology – in areas such as e-mobility, connectivity and autonomous driving – can contribute to the big social transformation plan of Japan called Society 5.0. The event consists of an exhibition, seminar and panel discussion, showcasing innovative Swedish companies and solutions, and VIP reception.

Telenor Connexion´s CEO Mats Lundquist will give a presentation on innovation enabled by connectivity and take part in a panel discussion together with representatives from Volvo Trucks, Veoneer Japan, Ericsson and ABB Japan.

“Future technologies will continue to increase the possibilities within IoT in general, and transportation and automotive in particular. As more devices become connected over time, the solutions based on the technological ecosystem will create the real boom of IoT”, said Mats Lundquist, CEO at Telenor Connexion. “The business summit is a great forum for discussing this development, sharing best practices and expertise, as Japan and Sweden have very much in common in the area of next-generation’s transportation infrastructure.”

The business delegation is organized by Team Sweden, represented by Business Sweden and the Embassy of Sweden, in partnership with Keizai Dōyukai, the Japan Association of Corporate Executives.
