Press release -

LOSTnFOUND named as CES Innovations 2014 Design and Engineering Award Honoree

Telenor Connexion customer LOSTnFOUND has been recognized in the Annual Awards Program for guard2me©, a digital aid for sufferers of dementia.

Millions of people around the world every year are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, which is characterized by dementia. Getting lost is a common problem for people with the disease because their memory is impaired and they easily get confused and wander off.

The guard2me© tracking device from LOSTnFOUND has been developed to improve the lives and conditions for sufferers of Alzheimer’s and dementia. The device, a watch worn around the patient’s wrist, tracks the location of the patient at all times, allowing care providers and family members to locate a patient who is lost or in an emergency situation.

The connected solution is composed of three main components; a guard2me©-watch, an  embedded SIM-card and service, and the guard2me© web portal and app for smartphones.

By partnering with Telenor Connexion LOSTnFOUND could take advantage of Telenor’s extensive experience of provding connected business solutions as well as an outstanding multi-operator agreement, which allows the guard2me© to operate seamlessly in 145 countries.

”We are delighted that LOSTnFOUND has been honoured with this award and are proud to be part of this smart and life-improving solution. It is also an important recognition of the great need for connected solutions to help medical providers monitor patients remotely and respond faster to emergencies”, says, Per Simonsen, CEO of Telenor Connexion.

The prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Awards honor outstanding design and engineering advancements and are sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, the producer of the International CES, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow.

Entries are judged on overall engineering qualities related to technical specifications and materials, aesthetics and design qualities, the product’s intended use and function, unique features and how the design and innovation of the product compares to others in the marketplace.

The 2014 International CES runs January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
